Cake Decorating

This morning was the sunflower growing competition at the school. The winner of the smallest head category measured in at a mere 0.9cm. I'm sure that wasn't a bona fide sunflower though. We tried our luck at cake decorating and flower arranging (the minimalist approach as most of the flowers had been claimed already). In the end it was the photo competition that won the day. Daughter 1 took a panorama shot of the Olympic stadium using Autostitch on my phone and won her first prize in her class! Daughter 2 brought in second prize with a shot of her sister on her bike, although not having won first, she was disappointed not to bring home a wenlock toy!!

The rest of the day was given over to gardening / making a mess depending upon your persuasion.

Happy weekend with one notable omission. Beloved is away with friends.
