Condemned!

Last Friday we had a gas leak at church which turned out to be a fault with our old, trusty cooker.
Early this morning I met with a caterer supplier at church to see about a new one. The bad news is that it's going to cost us about £6000 because of the new regulations about air extraction. so big fund raising is needed! Tomorrow we are serving a cold lunch and we will ask our guests who will be willing to keep coming for the next few weeks if we can only serve cold food.
We believe our old cooker has been with us for over 30 years and it was second hand when we got it so I guess it doesn't owe us much!
