Surf Day...

I've been promising myself to try surfing for years and years. A cheeky wee groupon voucher for surfing lessons with Jamie B from Clan Skates in Glasgow sealed it for me.

Only thing was that the beaches that he uses are on the Campbeltown pennisula which for anyone not familiar with the geography of Scotland, is about a 4 hour journey for me from Fife.

I was well worth the journey I had great fun. I think I might have fully caught 3 or 4 standup waves out of an awful lot but the whole experience was just brill from the sensation of floating in the ocean wrapped in a rather cosy winter wetsuit, to the very good and friendly tuition and the actual surfing despite being very hard and exhausting.
