The Painswick valley from Stokenhill Cottage
I visited John and Liz this afternoon to borrow an electric screwdriver I need tomorrow. John was on the phone on important business, so I made a cup of tea and went out to the front of the house and took my camera from the car.
The view up the Painswick valley is wonderful and I always like to stand and gaze at this, one of Stroud's Five Valleys. Just down towards the river running down the valley and through Salmon Springs is this field where the old tree has appeared to have died. But today I was pleased to see that it has a new spread of leaves once again. The brown horse seemed to like rubbing its head against the trunk as well.
