Just under the wire

Casting around at 11.58, consensus was that this was the dinner wine with the prettiest label. And yes that probably tells you what you need to know about tonight.

Our guests rose conveniently late; convenient as it gave me time to respond to a couple of urgent work things from Mr B. Then many croissants out in the (pleasantly) warm day. Later the weather returned to the current default setting of 'too hot' with the delightful addition of 'sticky'. Regardless, we sat out all afternoon, then off into town for CarbBoy's lesson and a long trip to the fish shop for the rest of us. Turns out my cousin's husband is a fish keeper - so TallGirl leapt at the chance to have an interested grown-up help her spend her birthday money, so now we have two more aquariums with a bunch* of new fish.

Then dinner, wine, liqueurs, etc. (The wine above is made by our neighbour.)

* The little ones were moving too fast for me to count them.
