Old Maid's Nightcap
Geranium...the name comes from the Greek geranos, meaning 'crane.' They attract butterflies and moths and are an important food source for the larvae of several species. Deer and small rodents enjoy the seeds. Rich in tannin, the wild geranium was used by early American settlers to tan hides. It is a counter to many love spells and a piece of the root, carried in an amulet, will attract happiness and prosperity. Infusions can be made for the treatment of many complaints, so I read.
