Tiny !!!!

I saw what I thought was a bit of plastic string on the kitchen floor and when I went to pick it up found a dragon fly / damsel fly. I got it to walk onto a piece for kitchen paper, then took it upstairs to find my camera and borrow B macro lens.

It wasn't moving much and certainly didn't attempt to fly.

In this shot, it is on the bathroom floor and I was on my knees and elbows, not an elegant sight!!!

The picture in extras is the head in more detail, the total length was about 3 cms, so a tiny head!!

We put him on a plant in the water feature when we had finished.

Update on yesterday's casualty. I saw him in the garden, with the ruffled feathers on his back. He appears to be having a quieter day, and has survived :0)
