Horrible week

Saterday morning I went to the swans and they were in shock. I saw there were only 2 cygnets. Where were the other 2? Could not find them. The swans just sat there not moving. I felt here is something very wrong. A man came to me and I told him what I saw. I crying. There has been happening such a lot last two years here, I broke. Could not handle it anymore. So good the man was there, we went looking if we could find them in the pond or at the waterside. At the end I saw something in the water. Yes it was a death cygnet, the other one we did not find. I cried a lot that day, but also were there for the swans, because they needed my help. They did not eat for hours, only the other 2 cygnets did. They needed to eat and finaly they eat something. I talk to them and they understood what I said (swanwhisperer). They need to get strong again because of the other 2 cygnets and of course they may grieve of their loss and they do. Especially the male swan grieves, could be he had seen what had happened with the two cygnets. Yesterday he did not even wanted me around, so I left and give them some rest. That is ok. Today they were better, only the male swan is very tired. They moved somewhere else, because the people have no respect for them where they were. They needed to be the whole time wakeful. Maybe that is why this horrible thing happened. I don't know. You can not be the whole time wakeful, also a swan needs to sleep. Today when I was there the male swan went to sleep, he did that often when I was around. He knows I will keep an eye on things. Well I hope the 2 cygnets grow fast so they can take care for themsleves and not be a prey for other animals. A hour ago there was again a heron and I could drive him away. But we also have rats here and big fish. Worried about that. These 2 need to survive. Everything started so good and now this. Horrible.
