Cathedral Quarry
Friday was rainy and windy.
We spent a while taking pictures around Slaters Bridge which was lovely, although it was so rainy and blustery that I got my camera lens quite wet and the autofocus stopped working so I had to learn how to use manual focus quite quickly.
Then went into the cavern at Cathedral Quarry which is about 40 feet high and absolutely spectacular (and sheltered from the wind and rain which was also good).
This is a picture of the cavern from the end of the entrance tunnel.
It's lit by daylight coming through a large hole in the ceiling.
(the lens is working fine again now that it's dried out )
