Late Clematis

After the usual Saturday shopping spree, there had to be some garden time! I have acquired some helibores and those had to be planted - but, apart from that, it was just a round of tidying up chores... and then I spied some blooms - what I have failed to capture (despite several attempts!) is the velvety bloom on the bloom. But this shot does give some dramatic emphasis to the rich colour although it was a darker, more regal purple that should have been captured for you!
