Morn Hill vetches

Well I said I'd go back to Morn Hill this week to blip flowers, so today I did.  Once again, it was glorious up there.

This is sainfoin (Onobrychis vicifolia) and it is the dominant flower there right now.  Others include coltsfoot, ox-eye daises, cranesbills, the odd poppy or two and various very pretty flowering grasses.  There are also other vetches, amongst them a lot of birdsfoot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus, which I grew up knowing as 'eggs & bacon') and small amounts of bright purple tufted vetch (Vicia cracca).

The Extra is of birdsfoot trefoil.

Okay, that's me.  Choir tonight so I may finish commenting tomorrow.  Enjoy your evening  xx
