Penny and Jillian ...
Who is who?
Even though the temperatures outside today were well into the 90's F, we wanted to attend Bethlehem's 100th Anniversary Founder's Day celebration. It was being held at Camel's Hump Farm, which was part of the property owned by the first mayor of the consolidated city of Bethlehem ... Archibald Johnson. Housenick Park is right around the corner. Housenick Park, as many of you know, is one of our favorite walking places and was gifted to Janet Johnson Housenick and her husband by her great-grandfather Archibald Johnson. The full name of the park is Janet Johnston Housenick and William D. Housenick Memorial Park. That's quite a mouthful which is why we shorten it to simply Housenick Park.
The event had many artists on hand from the Bethlehem Palette Club painting the surroundings and buildings. At 3:00 p.m. there was to be an auction to auction off their artwork. We did not stay for that ... it was just too hot!
I came upon this lovely young lady and her two goats ... Penny seen here and Chester. (This should answer the question above!) She was sensibly sitting in the shade, which didn't make for good photography, but, as I say, was smart!
To tie into the 100 year celebration I converted the photo to black & white ... to give the photo a more dated look.
