Western Lawns

Today I went for a walk starting at the Western Lawns up to Holywell & back again.
Smoochi took me up steps & along steep slopes, then down steps, we ended up in Holywell Retreat.
A fun warm, but breezy afternoon.
Here you can see The Wish Tower in the background which is one of a few Martello Towers we have in Sussex.
Around the bottom of the Statue of  The 8th Duke of Devonshire, Spencer Compton are several Yellow Red Hot Poker plants. :)
