Birdham peace and quiet

Well Selsey got it's first supermarket at 10am this morning and like an idiot I ventured over there at around 10.30. Total mayhem! Everybody in Selsey had decided to go there. Parking was impossible (although I got lucky) and the queues for the checkouts went the full length of every aisle and round the corners! You'd think we'd never seen an Asda before! It'll die down in time and it's well within walking distance for me so I won't be taking the car in future.

What a contrast it was with the peace and quiet of Birdham marina where we decided to just go and sit on the boat and listen to the birds.

This is just the entrance to the lock and you might just be able to make out a pair of ducks and their 12 very cute ducklings swimming out into the harbour. A closer picture of them in extras.
