At a loss...
6 weeks ago today, the day after I last blipped, I was quite excited. A new book had arrived from Amazon - Bryan Peterson's 'Understanding Exposure'. The sun was shining, and I had been out trying out depth of focus techniques on roses in the garden with my new camera.
But that afternoon, the bottom fell out my world when I lost my Mr Sm1th in an accident in his beloved glider. I still can't really believe it.
To paraphrase Neruda - "while my feet want to walk to where he is sleeping, I shall go on living". For a 'second opinion' I often try to think what Mr Sm1th would say or want me to do. And I know he saw the pleasure that blipping was giving me, and he wouldn't want me to stop.
6 weeks in, I have summoned up the will to get the camera back out and get outside and do a blip. A baby step.
This is one of our Valentine's roses - on a bush we bought a couple of years ago for Valentine's Day - and like so many things around me, I can't help think about him when I look at them.
