Yuck...

I've allowed the kids to play in the mud where the pool once was... it's a better alternative than digging in my gardens.

Tonight, Colby has introduced a new element to playing in the dirt... water! And lots of it! He was actually sitting in the mud... oh, he is indeed wearing rubber boots, but they really aren't helping the situation.

He played for over an hour, sitting directly in the mud and muck. When he finally decided to come inside, I was proud (and a bit amused), as he came streaking through the kitchen... buck naked. At least he knew enough to strip down in the garage!

He started the shower and washed all of the access mud off... all I can say - he's such a boy!

** Side Note: I spent the day canning. 6 quarts, 12 pints of Pepe's Bread & Butter Pickles. 4 pints, 2 quarts of homemade Salsa. The cabinets are getting stocked for winter and we'll enjoy the fruits of our labor come January.
