Job done!
Took me 2.50.38 which was way faster than my estimated time of 3.30.
Second in my wave which I was delighted about. 23rd wetsuited female over all. Again pleased with that considering I'm older than a fair amount of them. A 15 year old was first female in. She did it in 2.10. So flipping fast.
Really enjoyable event. We had to get out at three weirs. Even had to cross a road before we could get back in. There were feed stations at the weirs too which were needed for sure.
I met up with Andy at the weirs which was a godsend. He handed me my flip flops which saved the feet on the stones. Nice to have him there supporting me and he took loads of photos and videos too.
Out for a roast dinner when we got back. Saves cooking...which is hard when there's nothing to cook anyway.
