"National" Cherries
Spent the morning in Lisbon with Daveen and Mike, enjoying our habitual "Pasteis de Belém" - a delectable light creamy sweet pastry speciality of the area and then stood in line for about half hour in the sun waiting to go in to a famous Monastery and Church called "Mostério dos Jerónimos", which was a superb example of Munueline Architecture style. Nice to get a bit of culture! After refreshing ourselves with a delightful fresh fruit juice drink we drove to D & M's home in Mourão.
On the way we stopped at this roadside stall selling local cherries, which were the best I've tasted!
After a short restorative nap we went out for dinner at "Sem Fim" - a superb restaurant near the hilltop town of Monsarat, which boasted "the best wine in the world" (which we had to try!). A full fun day has come to its conclusion with a cup of hemp tea!
