Cheese-cake

That's one of the common names of this little plant, Malva Sylvestris, or Common Mallow. It's called something similar in Dutch, Groot Kaasjeskruid (Large Cheeseherb), apparently because the fruits look like a round cheese. I will have to find out what those fruits look like, I do know that it's well known for all kind of medicinal uses and the flowers and leaves are edible. It's one of my seedlings and today two of its buds opened for the first time. I do so love to see everything bud and flower, everyday there is something new. One of the big poppy buds opened this morning and showed a dark pink and purple flower, see the extra. Both yesterday's and today's poppies are over and done with tonight, a couple of gusts of wind late this afternoon and gone were the petals !

Thanks so much for all the Abstract Thursday entries this week, another  wonderful collection of 67 entries of all kinds of hopeful abstracts, see them all here.
This coming Thursday we're already at tag AT103 and the optional theme is 'new' :-) Interpret as freely as you want and always remember that the themes are optional, the challenge is to make/see/capture an abstract and have fun.

My picks for last Thursday are these:
DonnaWanna  for her interpretation of You'll never walk alone
Doingok   for a golden fluid abstract
LifesJourney for a colourful voting abstract
daughter  for her windchime composition and
KangaZu  for the pink ribbon hope

Looking forward to next Thursday's entries :-)

Thanks so much for your kind comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's wrinkled  poppy !
