The best weather of the day was first thing when we went to see Miss K's dance club's showcase in Lasswade. Thereafter, it was windy, with enough heavy showers to deter me from going out for a run in the sodden hills. So, it was a day of housework and work work, the latter done with the intention of taking time off during the week to go for a run in better weather.

The rhododendron pictured isn't ours: it's a the bottom of a neighbour's garden, but only a metre from one of our kitchen windows, so we get the best of it. I love the speckled throats of the flowers.

I thought that my DMC-TZ60 had died when I got repeated "system error (focus)" messages when I switched it on - and the lens refused to go back in when I switched off. Google said "grit in the lens mechanism" so I tapped it on the desk a couple of times and it's working again!
