We spent over an hour around St Mary's Lighthouse at Whitley Bay this morning. There were at least 14 seals on the rocks beyond the lighthouse. We also saw cormorants, a heron and eider ducks. Goldfinches were feeding in the long grass/wild flower area between the prom and the car park.
