Early morning?
The (imaginary) West Coast Motors yard at Port Appin and the shift prepare the old double decker fleet for another school run. Old vehicles like these could cope easily with feet on seats, chewing gum under them, crayon on the windows. These were the good old days before spray cans, craft knives and superglue so a tidy up wasn't a big deal, even engraving the windows with a pebble was rare. And the conductor could clip the culprit if he caught him. Most likely the parents would clip him/her as well.
