Saturday was pretty good.
When things - even small ones - go according to plan (unusual, in my life) it's always worth savouring the moment.
I won't bore the Bliposphere with the details, you'll be happy to hear.
The other day I cut a couple of roses to bring some colour and fragrance into the house and I've been enjoying watching the flowers open.
The bush which produced the red one was here when we bought the house in 1999. The yellow one was a present from my late dad not long after we moved in.
The message - roses make good housewarming presents for our kids. It's great to have something alive and beautiful every summer which came from him.
I need a tissue now...
