El Capricho - Gaudi House
When I woke up this morning there was a 70 year old man in bed next to me!! Yes it’s Igor’s big birthday today. I hope he enjoyed it. He deserves to after planning and organising such a wonderful holiday in Spain for us. I’m thinking of hiring him out as a travel agent. Any takers?
El Capricho is a building in Comillas, Cantabria, Spain, designed by Antoni Gaudí. It was built in 1883-1885 as a summer villa for Máximo Díaz de Quijano.
This house was just off our route to the ferry port at Santander. It was well worth the detour. We were free to wander round the house and grounds and to take photographs wherever we liked. Extra #3 shows the main bedroom in the house.
Extras #1 & #2 were taken in “Santander. We checked in early and left our car at the ferry port and then wandered off to have a look at the city.
We are now on the ferry and on our way home. It’s much rougher than the trip here but it’s almost bedtime so maybe I’ll sleep through it.
