Working with Straw

Sarah and I attended a course at the Chiltern Open Air Museum to learn how to make Corn Dollies.

It was a superb day, I knew the tutor as she came to our Flower Festival last year to demonstrate her straw work and it was a pleasure to catch up with here again.  The other ladies on the course were great fun too, we all worked really hard and I achieved so much more than I was expecting.  Working with the straw is lovely, it's very tactile and amazingly strong for it's size too.  I would like to do some more!
