Breakfast in France.....

.....lunch in Switzerland, dinner in Italy.
Another mammoth journey, a bit plagued by traffic jams outside the Gottard tunnel and on the outskirts of Bologna that we hit by tea time rush hour.

We are straying in Sasso Marconi, named for 'the' Marconi in the home of a lovely couple who are the first (or last) stop of the six day trek between Bologna and Florence. It is beautiful and they are very warm and friendly - despite our Italian being extremely shoddy and their English being about the same, we are managing to communicate.
