Orchids

Went to Clints Quarry nr Egremont today looking for Bee Orchids.  Somebody posted a photo on Facebook which they'd taken yesterday morning.  I'd assumed there would be lots in flower, wrong!  I knew exactly where to look as I've been going the last few years.  Spent ages and ages looking and then just as I was about to give up I spotted one, woo hoo!   Its still a bit early really, there should be lots more in a couple of weeks.  Plenty of common orchids and other wild flowers in the quarry .  Its such a peaceful place and I love going there, should go more often.

Looked at the map and spotted a wildlife reserve enroute to home which I'd not been to before.  It consists of three wildflower meadows.  Had a little wander there and saw more of the common orchids and I think the bottom left might be a Greater Butterfly Orchid as the information board says they are in the meadows, but I could of course be wrong as I thought they were much taller than this one.
