Food for thought

We made these spicy potato wraps at Food Club last night but they were so good that I made them again tonight. Total carb fest but it's Friday so who cares.

Spent the evening at Groove Cottage yesterday, which now seems the norm for any Thursday night political goings on. Mum and I had ploughed through a bag of crisps and a bag of popcorn before the polls had even closed at 10pm. It was clear from early on that it was going to be a very interesting evening and it remained so. Lot's of shocks and unexpected results. I managed a couple of hours of sleep before 3.30am but then cracked on until the morning. Came back home for a couple more hours sleep before I had to be in school.

I still haven't really processed the results and while, overall, I'm pleased - it does seem that there is going to be even more uncertainty ahead. And everybody seems to agree on the fact that uncertainty is not a good thing. And while I am pleased, I realised that there are bigger implications for a lot more people and that I am fairly well cushioned from the effects of the entire thing to an extent.

Stressful evening of realising that I haven't been able to finish all my work for the weekend and so I'll have to work a bit while back at Groove Cottage. And then when all the house offers had finally been agreed, I had a late offer, higher than the first. Lots of panicking a phone calls to the parents and hoping that I've made the right decision.

Bodypump class was just what I needed tonight. Enough straining and sweating to guarantee a good night of sleep to come.
