Togetherness Matters

This is the first year these swans have successfully hatched two eggs. I have images of them with two cygnets taken 31stMay (not good enough to use )Then after a week there was but one .Today I saw them and no cygnet now .I felt sorry that  their weeks of sitting had come to this. Magpies , dogs , rats ..I would tip the latter .Numbers of such are up due to the bread throwing folk of Manchester .Rats adore bread .When will they ever learn ?
