Sunny Afternoon

Tony stuck with the televised election overnight but I didn't have the staying power to sit through all the animated graphics and forecasting.   Why is it that many of our politicians are so out of touch - we don't want spin and we could have done with a bit (a lot!) of humility from the PM as, once again, those in power have misjudged the mood and needs of many in the country.

Having watched the aftermath and post mortems this morning, it was a relief when pal Helen arrived for lunch and a walk.  As we headed out on a circuit of St Ives, with a few detours, the sun appeared.  Arriving at the Cafe, we went for cold drinks and ice creams, enjoyed sitting in the cafe garden.  Simple pleasures.
