Al Fresco Gambling as seen on Insurgentes in Mexico City. I snapped this on my way to a friend's apartment. And all three of them were still there over 2 hours later on my way home!

A far more interesting photo would have been the one I was too shocked to react quickly enough to take, when I was on the metro home. I was waiting for my train to leave, then suddenly two strange looking, young guys ran on. They looked sketchy and stoned.

They were behind me in the middle of the carriage. Eventually, I turned round because of the noise they were making, only to see one of them roll out a jumper on the ground, which was covered in ground glass.

He then proceeded to do tumble rolls over the glass. You could see many cuts on his back indicating that he'd been tumbling for many long hours of metro riding. The his mate started intoning and pleading for money (I assume) like he was speaking in tongues. I couldn't believe it! I just turned around and ignored them, not wanting to engage.

I've said it before, but just when you think you've seen everything in this city, it just throws you another curveball of oddness. It's a damn shame I didn't react more quickly.
