Rutherglen Terrace

I pass by this mansion on my morning ocean walk several times a week, but I never knew its name til I looked it up in my local architecture book today. Rutherglen is a town in Scotland, which presumably had some meaning for the original owners. Classified as a Colonial Revival with vestiges of Queen Anne, it was built in 1893. I've always been charmed by the differing silhouettes of all the tall trees. I believe it is currently part of the holdings of the Oblates of St. Joseph, who have a church next door, hence the statue out front.
