Hidden lagoon

This is a picture taken from the cockpit of our sailboat in Squirrel Cove. High winds and RAIN kept us floating here all day. Not a problem in this lovely spot. There are some tidal rapids between the main anchorage and a salt water lagoon, pictured here. At high tide you can go through in a kayak or dingy if you are careful and time it right. We took the dingy through yesterday and didn't time it right and had trouble getting out. A kayak would not have been an issue. The small motor on our dingy kept getting caught in the feather boa seaweed and the current was too strong to row! So I hopped out into thigh high water and pulled the dingy through. Felt like Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone minus the high heels ;-)
