"Nice house"

Families, like any institution, build up their own vocabulary and phrases. This old mill is visible from the road as we walk to Sablieres. Someone has to say "Nice house" and the Pavlovian response is "But it gets no sun in winter". Life on the edge.
Neighbours from the river dropped by this afternoon to remind/tell us that it was the Fete des Chasseurs tonight. Free food and drink, copious too,  it would be churlish not to have gone so we went.
