Vote early....

....vote often as the old American electoral joke has it.   Except that I did the former (at 8.00am in Colintraive) and we are all doing the latter .

Many think too often and some voters I meet are very tired of being asked to go to the polls so frequently This  election in particular is utterly unnecessary .  

Since I started to blip every day at the very start of 2011- only six and a half years ago - I have recorded 8 such events :

Scottish Parliament elections in 2011 & 2016
Westminster election in  2015
Local elections in 2012 & this year,
European elections in 2014
The Scottish Referendum in 2014  
and
The European Referendum in 2016.

In addition  in this constituency there have been local government by-elections in Oban North four times , and in Campbeltown and Oban South once.  

But the saving grace is that there are such lovely and interesting places to vote in Argyll & Bute , though this is a direction to a polling place, not a polling place itself.
