Kitchen's Nigella

Love-in-the-Mist or Nigella Damascena.

Beautiful delicate flowers with fragile stems and feathery leaves, but it's a surprise how late it has been before they started to flower. The two tubs outside our kitchen have taken a while get going; the first flower came out at the start of the week!

With little time to wander, I captured this quick blip just as the evening closed in.
