Mission San Juan Capistrano

there are 21 missions along the Camino Real from San Diego to San Francisco, a day's horse ride apart. The Catholic church established those ca. 200 years ago and most are still standing and museums and are serviced by the California State Park.
The school children in this area have to write a report when they are in elementary school and make a replica of the mission of their choice. I have done this with my children and grand-children.
