Bollards

This view can be captured by lying in the middle of a small and narrow cobbled street at the back of the Minster - with the quaint name of Ogleforth.

These two bollards (one ancient of stone and one a little more modern of cast iron) caught my eye. I was amused by how the stone originally protecting the building had now to be protected by the cast iron one, against the savagery of modern delivery vans.

Speaking of which, I had to be very wary lying in the street to capture the blip as said vans don't hang about.

Nice though, two Samaritans came up (down?) to me to see if I was OK and hadn't fallen off my bike...
