The end of the line...

I follow the same path every day when I walk the dogs...for a few reasons.  I try to share the farm with the wildlife.  We leave the woods to the coyotes while we keep to the fields.  I also like them to learn the pattern so that should we ever become separated, they would find their way back to me.  I turn around to go home at exactly the same point every day - it started out as a habit but has become a bit of an obsession to not short the dogs of their walk....  Most of the oldies will come with me to the very end but two youngsters clearly don't see the point in walking that last bit.  They always wait 30 or 50 feet back until we catch back up to them.  Then they dash on ahead again.
