Deception Pass

I've been through this pass on a boat, but seeing it from above was better! The color of the water was a beautiful emerald green, turning to a deep navy. We drove the North Cascades Highway today. It was very windy and Thick with forest, but over the pass the views of the Cascades were good.
We are staying tonight in a darling little town called Winthrop in a cute little log cabin. Tomorrow we head for Lake Chelan.
Grateful today...for so many different views...forests, mountains, water...all Pacific Northwest treasures.
