To Mum's GP surgery before 9 a.m. for her to have a blood test done. This is in readiness for her outpatient appointment in a couple of weeks' time with the Endocrinologist about her thyroid. I really hope they can do something to help her.

My sister and niece joined us for lunch in Tiptree, and a browse in some of the shops. After they left, I cleared away the mountain of branches and twigs which had come down out of the willow trees overhanging the bottom of the garden. What a time of year for high winds and heavy rain, just as the boughs are laden with many fresh leaves. It was still windy today, though dry at least. The garden smelt intoxicating with the perfume of the honeysuckle this evening, with bees lazily buzzing around its delicate petals.
