Woodberry Wetlands

I am part of the London Wildlife Trust. One of the projects I have been watching out for has been the transformation of this former reservoir in Stamford Hill into a wonderful nature reserve.

Tonight was a members night but I was late for the talk so enjoyed the reserve on my own for a while.

Much of the transformation has been paid for by the developers of the high rise apartments  you can see in the distance. The occupants are prepared to pay premium for a nice view. 

Walking around the waters edge I saw reed warblers, swifts, a peregrin falcon and some green finches. Not bad for Hackney.
