Fledglings
The fledglings have been missing for a couple of days but they were back in the yard this morning. This young male has taken over the sentry position on the roof that his mother used when the babies first left the nest.
It was a tough day - we had B-I-L's funeral today. Things are done a bit differently here. The cremation was done in a major town about 2 hours away and the urn containing the ashes sent back to our local cemetery. The service is held with the urn rather than the coffin as it is usually done in Australia. It was a simple, civil service and nicely done. The only speaker was the celebrant who then led the family and friends to the family grave where the urn was interred (the contents are not scattered in Austria).
I am still wading my way through all the MM entries and hope to finish commenting and awarding hearts (which will be a very hard task) tomorrow.
