This is a backblip due to a total lack of internet yesterday. Somehow Jane managed to grab a few milliseconds of connectivity via her phone and managed to upload a blip. As you could see from Jane's Blip yesterday the weather was somewhat inclement. In fact it hammered down all day with gale force winds. It was fortunate we weren't trying to take pictures on the Farne Islands or I may have been looking for another replacement camera.
We headed up to Inverness and stayed overnight in Dingwall which we last visited in 2010 when we cycled from John o' Groats to Lands End.
On our journey yesterday we found ourselves passing through Dunblane where some friends lived. They invited us for a most welcome lunch and a chin wag.
John was my senior partner when I joined my practice in 1978. He left the practice 10 years later leaving me in charge. John and Hilary moved up to Dunblane some years ago to be near their daughter. We have kept in touch but not seen them for years. It was a lovely visit.
Interestingly they are friends with blippers Tedwin and Redilady who used to be neighbours of theirs. What a small world!
