Shadows

We have been driving for seven hours today - and difficult conditions for much of the time. We left Kaikoura at 6 am and arrived at Picton just after 1 pm.  The road for the first two hours was very icy, heavy frost then thick fog descended.....we didn't know the road, having to travel slowly, the roads had been gritted but extreme care was needed.  Added to that was the numerous road works, many stops for one way traffic. (I wish I had invented orange cones, I would be a multi millionaire). Anyrate, we arrived safely at Picton in strong sunshine and enjoyed the relaxing three & half hour ferry ride over to Wellington.  Met by Janelle, Ella & Harry with beaming smiles.  Nice to be here.

No photographer could not stop to take this scene......just a quick couple of photos with me & Doug keeping a sharp eye out for traffic.

Currently watching the Blues v Lions and 22 - 16 to the Blues with 5 minutes to play....go the Blues !! (this is the only time I barrack for the Blues)
