Major Mitchell's Cockatoo
I was absolutely delighted today to see my first ever Major Mitchell's Cockatoos in West Wyalong when we stopped for a comfort break.
These beautiful birds are not seen in the Mt. Lofty Ranges but are common in the inland areas of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
They are about the same size of a galah but smaller than a sulphur crested cockatoo.
To see the real reason for this road trip, take a look at Paladian's Blip.
