View of the Day

Wow, the flu: when it knocks you flat, it knocks you flat. Pretty much my view, although a long, tall window in here looks onto a nice, narrow strip of park.
nhc just posted of the rewards that come from meeting a complete stranger; how you can exchange bits from your lives making the world smaller and more meaningful.
I am enjoying something quite the opposite: being far away, feeling far away (I did check into bagging the rest of this trip and going home.) yet hearing from those I care about, with comforting words. Thanks to all, it really helps.
Meanwhile, my traveling partner went out in the heavy downpour, got completely soaked - no matter the right jacket, shoes and even an umbrella, but came home with fine descriptions of what he'd seen.
