The many faces of Singapore
Singapore often gets a negative review, including in the past from myself, without really taking the time to get to know it.
Spending two nights here for work has convinced me that it's a very pleasant city in which to base oneself as it's conducive to working effectively and has everything you need at your fingertips. Tonight we had dinner in Little India at one of the many hawker food markets. Delicious curry and then an enjoyable stroll around soaking up the atmosphere.
I maintain that Changi Airport, despite the orchid garden, free Mentos at immigration and the many accolades that it has won, retains the atmosphere of a morgue! A very efficient, well-run and pleasant morgue.
