Afterwards when I was on California Ave I had one of those lovely random conversations that I tend to fall into with a person I'd never met before, he was from Jordan, and had been living in California since 1979.  We talked about California and how everyone is from somewhere and how diverse and international it is.  We talked about London, we talked about the Mediterranean.  He told me about a girl he fell in love with in his youth when he lived in Greece, she was the one that got away and he'd always wondered what if...  We talked about how small the world really is.
