Celebrating marathons

My friend and I went out to lunch at the restoration yard, Dalkeith country park to celebrate our marathon achievements. She did the edinburgh half marathon just a couple of minutes slower than I did last year. We've been running for a similar length of time and are forever running at exactly the same speed. The conversation turned to a challenge for our 50th years which are coming up sooner than we'd like :-D so we're looking for marathon recommendations for the year after next. This time we're going to go more slowly towards our targets as both of us have overuse injuries from our recent achievements.
